Team TaylorMade was out in full force at the Waste Management Phoenix Open with a dozen athletes in the field taking on the first Designated Event on the 2023 PGA Tour calendar.
Both Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are making their stateside debuts and arrive in good form. Rory has four wins along with 12 top-10 finishes in his previous 14 starts. The last time we saw him, he was hoisting the trophy at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Tommy has shown promise early in 2023, finding himself near the top of leaderboards early on most weeks – as evidenced by his 6-under-par showing through the first two rounds of the Dubai Desert Classic. It’s only a matter of time before he pieces four rounds together and contest for the winner’s circle.
Equipment news includes Scottie Scheffler undergoing extensive testing of a new Stealth 2 Plus driver, Rory putting old trusties in play (P·760 3 and 4 irons) to help with steeper launch on par 5-second shots, and Collin tested custom grinds on his wedges and got a new Stealth 2 Plus driver built for him.
