This week at Yas Links Abu Dhabi, an hour away from our Dubai base for pre-season testing #TeamTaylorMade arrived to start the Middle East Swing on the DP World Tour.
With the introduction of Stealth 2 Carbonwood™ drivers, saying that its been a busy week is an understatement! The Tour Team of Adrian Rietveld, Mark Thistleton, Sam Day and Alex Marine have been getting their steps in servicing the best players in the world. Including Tommy Fleetwood and Guido Migliozzi, Team TaylorMade has a total of 8 Stealth 2 drivers in play this week.
Tommy Fleetwood - Stealth 2 Plus | 9°
Guido Migliozzi - Stealth 2 Plus | 10.5°
Thorbjørn Olesen - Stealth 2 Plus | 10.5°
Niklas Nørgaard - Stealth 2 Plus | 10.5°
Marcus Helligkilde - Stealth 2 | 8°
Angel Hidalgo - Stealth 2 Plus | 9°
Haotong Li - Stealth 2 Plus | 9°
Victor Dubuisson - Stealth 2 | 9°
Let's get straight into it with the man of the moment and newest member of the squad, Guido Migliozzi. Moving the weight track and adjustable loft sleeve to dial in the CG with Stealth 2 Plus (10,5° head, set 1 lower). Guido saw the launch angles, start lines and shapes he likes to see. He instantly loved the look of the driver and how it sits, commenting that he felt ‘happy and familiar’ with the looks and feel of a TaylorMade driver.

The fairway woods were an instant hit with Guido commenting on how easy they are to hit off the turf with the V-Steel sole. He was consistently launching the ball higher than other woods he had tested, leading to a slight increase in carry but more importantly a steeper vertical descent angle which he was looking for.
The new range of Stealth 2 Carbonwoods and Metalwoods are great. My launch angles are much better with the new woods, I tend to hit the ball very low, so with these new woods and also the TaylorMade golf ball, it’s much easier to launch the ball. GUIDO MIGLIOZZI
Determined by a mix of on-course testing and range work, Tommy’s settled into a Stealth 2 Plus 9°, once dialled in he put on a ball flight display, turning the ball to his desired ball flight and all I can say it was impressive!

Averaging 342-yards on the DP World Tour, Niklas makes his Rolex Series debut this week. He's a powerhouse and one to keep an eye on! Want to see his swing? Click here.
Six-time winner on the DP World Tour, Thorbjørn Olesen aka 'Thunder Bear' is making his 2023 debut in Abu Dhabi with Stealth 2 Plus driver in the bag. Gaining 1mph ballspeed and a couple of extra yards, he was happy with the performance, “I just need to get used to the ball flight, but this driver is great”. Stealth 2 fairway has gone straight in the bag as he found more consistent spin characteristics. He’ll continue to test his 3-wood out on the course.
Angel comes into the week with his driver already dialled in. Using a 9° Stealth 2 Plus with a little bit more loft than his previous gamer, Angel saw his desired spin numbers and ball flight. He gained an average of 2mph ballspeed and carrying it further. During pre-season testing Angel found that he was hitting out of the heel on his irons, Tour Tech Alex Marine flattened the set off by 1° and Angel found the middle of the face and was hitting more consistent numbers. His new iron setup is a winner!
"I loved the performance of my Stealth driver last season and I said to the guys it’s going to be really tough to beat. Behind the ball it looks striking, which is the first box checked. Then within the first few hits I fell in love with the feel, in my head, that’s the second box checked. Swing after swing, the feel is great, but in the back of my mind I am thinking is, what does the numbers say. It’s good! "
Firmly focused on adding a few titles to his name this season, Haotong spent all day with the team dialling in his bag. Following suit with the rest of Team TaylorMade, a new Stealth 2 Plus has made it's way into his bag. He's also made the switch into the new P7MC irons.
Known amongst Team TaylorMade as someone who doesn't tweak equipment, Victor features the full line of Stealth 2 Carbonwood.
