It wouldn’t be The Betfred British Masters without a little bit of rain! Well, when we say a little, our umbrellas were flying out the door! As players and caddies hopped onto the truck to shelter from the elements, our workshop was in full flow and with that in mind, let’s unpack some of the tweaks, changes and setups this week for Team TaylorMade.
Bob Mac comes to The Belfry with the same bag he’s used for most of this season. Keeping the P7MC irons in play, he’s opted for a fresh set and noted he was struggling with his carry numbers, but now with his new set he’s seeing his preferred numbers.
Nicolai put on a ball striking clinic as he tested P790 and P770 2-iron options. Putting both irons through rigorous testing, he favoured P790 but will keep his P770 for future events.
Rasmus has also been testing 2-iron options and opted for a similar setup to Nicolai. Favouring P790, Rasmus tested a KBS Proto graphite shaft, but opted for lighter weight option.
