Fresh off his maiden DP World Tour Title last week at the Magical Kenya Open, Casey Jarvis backs it up with a win on home soil at his National Open Championship in South Africa. With this win he secures a spot at both The Open Championship and The Masters and moves to third on the Race to Dubai rankings.
Casey continued his form from Kenya and was around the top of the leaderboard all week before opening up a one-shot lead after a bogey free six-under round of 64 on Saturday, eventually claiming a three-shot victory and his second DP World Tour title.
“I feel on top of the world in this moment, to win in front of my home crowd and my National Championship is incredible. It’s my dream to play at Augusta, it was hard not to think about it, but I cannot wait to go there and see how my game is against the world’s best.”Casey Jarvis
Casey started the week in Stellenbosch in less than an ideal fashion after realising that his driver shaft had snapped due to a slight mishap during his travels from Kenya to South Africa. Sam Day, TaylorMade Senior Tour Representative, stepped up to build a replacement driver and even if he was a little nervous about the new shaft at first, but following a video call with Sam on Thursday, he was happy for the rest of the tournament, and ultimately the rest was history.
Casey, like many other Team TaylorMade Athletes, switched immediately into a Qi4D driver model at the beginning of the season after finding significant gains and improved consistency across the face due its new and improved roll radius that tightens spin rates at different vertical contact points on the face. During pre-season testing Casey found nearly 2 mph of extra ball speed and 8 yards longer carry distance verses his previous gamer.
Despite the late driver build Casey and Sam were still looking at options on the Qi4D’s adjustable loft sleeve setting, with Casey’s gamer set at 1 lower on the loft sleeve they were between keeping it there or moving it back to the standard setting. With the windy forecast conditions in Stellenbosch, they settled on keeping it at 1 lower to ensure Casey hit his desired ball flight in the wind.

Another week, and another win for TaylorMade Spider putters. Casey plays the original Spider Tour shape, and like a number of Tour pros that employ a Spider uses a short slant hosel. He likes to feel the putter swing on an arc back and through during the stroke and the short slant enables to him feel alongside the high MOI and stability Spider Tour putters offer. Casey is currently ranked 5th in Putts Per Gir (1.69) for the 2026 DP World Tour season.
