At TaylorMade, we believe golf is more than a game—it’s a journey. One filled with breakthroughs, passion, and the kind of moments that keep you coming back. That’s why we created the TaylorMade Women’s Advisory Board—a collective of 12 influential women across Europe who are shaping the future of golf through coaching, mentorship, and advocacy.
These women are leaders in their communities, champions of inclusion, and ambassadors of performance. Together, they represent the heartbeat of women’s golf.
From elite academies to grassroots clubs, our board members are embedded in the game:
- Emma Booth – Winchester Golf Academy, England. Custom fitting and coaching.
- Caroline Berry – Bromborough, England. Cheshire Senior Captain.
- Esther Poburski – Northern Germany. Regional and national coach for elite girls.
- Kelly Sotière - Head Coach at Kelly Sotière Academy (Technical & Mindset) at Valle del Este
Being part of the Women’s Advisory Board is about more than representation—it’s about impact.
“We’re helping to create an era where women in golf are there for all to see.”
— Emma Booth
“It’s inspiring to be part of such a talented group, all striving to improve the experience for women golfers.”
— Annelie Weimenhög
“I feel like it’s a big responsibility being part of the board as we’re all wanting to grow the game and make it accessible for all women and young girls.”
— Dearbhla Behan
Golf is a sport that can be frustrating—even agonising—but it’s also deeply rewarding. That first birdie. Breaking 100. Then 90. Then 80. The grind makes the glory sweeter.
Since 2020, the game has changed. Female participation in the UK tripled during the pandemic, with nearly 1.5 million women playing at least one full round. In 2021, 34% of golfers in Great Britain were women. The momentum is real—and growing.
Golf can feel intimidating at first, but every golfer starts somewhere. Here’s what our board recommends:
- Find your tribe – Join a group or academy that makes learning fun.
- Start with friends – Golf is more enjoyable together.
- Ignore the stereotypes – Women golfers are powerful, skilled, and fast.
- Visibility matters – If you can’t see it, you can’t be it.
- Have fun – Golf is a lifestyle, not just a sport.
“Being surrounded by men on the course can be intimidating. We need more visibility.”
— Kelly Sotière
“Getting girls onto the course is harder now than ever. We need to make it easier.”
— Esther Poburski
For many of our board members, golf wasn’t the obvious career path—but passion paved the way.
- Esther Poburski – Started at age 5, now a national coach in Germany.
- Alice Inman – Began alongside her brother, now leads girls and ladies academies.
- Kelly Sotière – Family golf outings sparked a lifelong love; now a Sports Psychologist helping juniors thrive.
From tour wins to national titles, our board members have made their mark:
- Susana Ribeiro – 6-time Portuguese National Champion, LET member.
- Joanna Klatten – I’ve had 3 Top 3’s on the Ladies European Tour and 2 wins on Australian Tour co-sanctioned with European tour (Vic open and NSW open). I really enjoyed playing on the LPGA for 5 years, and one standout moment was when I played in Hawaii at the Lotte Championship and finished 6th.
- Kelly Sotière – I played in the Individual National Championship from 12 to 16 years old and amateur team competitions which was great, but I'd also have to say being part of the volunteers team of the 2015 Solheim Cup, on the course with players, in St Leon Rot Golf Club.
Golf is evolving—and so is the equipment. Kalea Gold is the latest innovation from TaylorMade, crafted specifically for women who want to play with confidence, style, and speed.
Developed with direct input from our Women’s Advisory Board, Kalea Gold is engineered for effortless launch, premium feel, and elevated aesthetics. It’s more than a set of clubs—it’s a celebration of women’s golf.
“Golf always puts a smile on my face. Kalea Gold helps me share that feeling with others.”
— Kelly Sotière
Whether you're just starting out or chasing your next milestone, Kalea Gold is built to help you shine.
Golf is a sport where generations play side by side. Where passion fuels progress. And where women are no longer just part of the game—they’re leading it.
“Golf is not only a sport—it’s a lifestyle.”
— Eva Omander
“Never forget to have fun.”
— Susana Ribeiro
