It’s all aboard for Team TaylorMade to Northern Ireland for the 153rd playing of the British Open. Inspired by the iconic Portrush train that’s been operating since 1855 and sits adjacent to the host course, the Steam Line Collection will be on full display for the oldest major in golf.
Let’s dive in for an in-depth look at the gear Team TaylorMade will be repping that can be yours too.
The 2025 British Open is being contested at one of golf’s most infamous and storied venues. The occasion is worthy of a staff bag to match, and the centerpiece in the Steam Line Collection doesn’t disappoint.
Celebrating the Portrush train that runs adjacent to the course, the Steam Line staff bag boasts red, black and green colorways that celebrate both the train’s engine and passenger car exteriors.
SUBTLE NODS
What truly makes the Steam Line staff bag special are its subtle details that pay further homage to the Portrush train and the British Open.
On either side panel, diagonally placed rivets outline TaylorMade logos. The rivets are a tribute to those found on the Portrush train’s engine. Just above the TaylorMade logo, ‘No. 25’ marks this year’s tournament.
On the backside valuables pocket, a patch honors the host venue in the form of a vintage train ticket. Directly below, a three-leaf clover celebrates the host country of Northern Ireland. On the frontside valuables pocket, you’ll find scripted ‘All Aboard!’ as a warm welcome. A train on the handle further emphasizes the overarching theme.
The bag’s interior linings were inspired by the Portrush train’s seat cushions.
STEAM LINE HEADCOVERS
The Steam Line headcovers carry on the same colorways as the staff bag and offer similar nods to the Portrush train, the host venue, and Northern Ireland.
