Behind the Design: Heritage Collection for the 2025 Summer Commemorative Tournament
The Summer Commemorative returns to Pittsburgh and one the most storied, demanding tests in golf. TaylorMade’s world-class design team put their minds together to create the Heritage Collection worthy of our national championship. Our athletes will have the gear in play to commemorate the tournament, and it can be yours, too!
Let’s have a closer look at everything inside the Heritage Collection.
The Steel City is a special place for TaylorMade. Our original metalwood was nicknamed the ‘Pittsburgh Persimmon™’ and this year’s Staff Bag celebrates that rich history. Stars and red, white and blue colorways are shown prominently to commemorate our nation’s championship. Nods to the host venue make themselves known as well.
Much of the staff bag’s inspiration harkens back to our company’s beginnings. In addition to the inscriptions of ‘Original One’, <metalwood> and ‘Pittsburgh Persimmon’, the Staff Bag also features a steel-grey base color, retro TaylorMade logos in vintage script, and TaylorMade’s founding year of 1979.
The Heritage Staff Bag wouldn’t be complete without paying tribute to the host venue. On the bottom collar, the years 1927, 1935, 1953, 1962, 1973, 1983, 1994, 2007, 2016 and 2025 mark the years the course has played host to our national championship. Stitching on the handle resembles the church pew bunkers synonymous with this iconic venue.
HERITAGE HEADCOVERS
The Heritage headcovers continue the patriotic themes found in the staff bag. Red, white and blue colorways are prominently shown. Distinctive patterns further honor the host course, and ‘125’ can be found on the mallet and blade headcovers to celebrate the 125th playing of our national championship.
HERITAGE TP5 AND TP5X GOLF BALLS
The Heritage TP5 and TP5x golf balls give you the five layers of Tour-level performance you’ve come to love in a vintage-inspired package. The balls feature retro blue TaylorMade logos and the packaging continues the same theme.
HERITAGE COLLECTION EXTRAS
To further celebrate TaylorMade’s beginnings and the return to Pittsburgh, the Heritage Collection carries on the themes of retro TaylorMade logos. Included in the Collection are a Heritage FlexTech Carry Premium stand bag, TP glove, A-Frame hat, and T-Shirt.
